OPI - Russian Navy

Hey guys! I'm so busy this week with work and school so I'll just do swatches. Today I'm wearing OPI's Russian Navy and to be honest I'm not really a fan, but I know that a lot of people love it. This polish was the first OPI, I ever bought. It looks so pretty in the bottle, but once you get it on your nails, it's just like..... Boring. At least I think so. It looks kinda interesting in strong, direct sunlight, but it's kinda hard to find strong, direct sunlight, when it's rainy and only 42 degrees!

Russian Navy is a purplish blue polish with red and turquoise shimmer. I find it a little hard to apply. The formula is a bit runny and hard to apply evenly. It might just be my bottle, I don't know. I used two thick coats to get it fully opaque.

These pictures are with flash, so you can see the pretty shimmer, cause like I said, I couldn't find direct sunlight.

First Fishtail Braid Nails

Howdy polish addicts! Today I made... Drumroll, please.... Fishtail braid nails! I think they look so cute and creative and winterish. And they are so easy to do. Mine aren't perfect, but as the headline says it's my first time trying :)

The base is Sally Hansen's Celeb City. The brown color is Essie's Merino Cool and the blue is China Glaze's Kinetic Candy.

Sorry for the dark picture, but I is so dark outside, though it's only mid-afternoon.

Essie - Merino Cool

Heeey gal! Soooo, today I have an awesome polish to show you! Merino Cool! I LOVE IT! Everytime I look at it, I'm like "FALL!"It just so.... Fall :) And it goes perfectly with that little brown dress. + Brown's the new black, right, RIGHT? No? Ok, but it's still a nice color.

Merino Cool is an mulberry purplish, greyish brown. It looks very different on different skin tones and in different kinds of lighting. I'm pretty sure it's a dupe for Sally Hansen's Commander In Chic and Sephora by OPI's Metro Chic, but I'm not sure cause I don't own any of those two. Merino Cool applies nicely and is opaque in two thin coats.

First Glitter Sandwich

Hey there! I didn't really know what to do with my nails today, so I decides to go simple a mix three of my favorite things: Nail polish, glitter and food! Ten points to you, if you also have those three things on your favorite list! :) So this is my very glitter sandwich. Like ever. I didn't really know, what color to use, but after staring at my still growing nail polish collection I finally decided.

For my base color I used 2 coats of Essie Turquoise & Caicos. It's pretty and exotic looking aqua greenish blue.

Then for the glitter, I used one coat of Essie A Cut Above. I nice pink glitter.

And then I applied one thin coat of Essie Turquoise & Caicos.

Pink Wednesday ft. Essie

Hey there all my girly girls! Today is Pink Wednesday! You know. Like in Mean Girls. Get it? Ok, super! :) Today I haven't been feeling so well, so I stayed home from school, but that didn't keep me away from rockin' these glittery girls! I have just been loving glitter lately and Essie's A Cut Above is no exception!

For base color i used Essie Cute As A Button. It's a really nice creamy reddish pink. It's fully opaque in two coats. Yay! I hate applying three coat.

Then for the glitter gradient I used Essie A Cut Above. Though it's not ultra super duper extra unique, it's still a very nice pink hexagon glitter polish. I used three coats.

For the writing on my thumb I used Essie Blanc and a cheap detail brush like the ones small children use for watercolor paintings. This is not perfect AT ALL, but it's the the first time I've really tried writing on my nails.

Sorry, the photos have been kinda dead looking these last couple of days, but the weather has been dark and rainy for quite some time :( Hope it will get better soon.

OPI - Servin' Up Sparkle

Howdy guys! I hate Tuesdays. I have PE every Tuesday and I hate that. I always trip and fall or break a nail or something :( So, when I got home today, I was tired and I didn't want to spend a lot of time on doing my nails. I just renewed them with some glitter and some stamping! Easy peasy!

Servin' Up Sparkle is a layering holographic/silver glitter. It has tiny round glitters and large hexagon glitters. This is so eye catching, colorful and sparkly, that my camera just freaked out and refused to take a single decent picture. But I tried.

Is it just me or does the stamping look like a tattoo? For this look I used two coats of Sally Hansen Celeb City and five coats og the Servin' Up Sparkle.

Sally Hansen - Celeb City

Evening my fellow nail polish addicts! Today I have a fabulous polish to show you! Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Extreme Wear in Celeb City! Gosh, why give that part of the brand such a long name? Why not just Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear? Hmpf... Anyway, this polish is gorgeous and very eye catching. I wore it to school today and got a ton of compliments.

Celeb City is a beautiful, but also a very ordinary and easy to find, silver polish. It has rather large silver shimmers. I applies like a dream and is fully opaque i two thin coats + it dries quickly.
